Cornhole Game for Any Occasion

Wednesday, September 28th, 2011

Here are testimonials from real people about how they love the game of cornhole.   So if you are looking for new places and events to take your cornhole set, check these out:

After a large BBQ we all got lazy & left the toys out. My bags got busted open by the squirrels in my neighborhood. I was searching on Google & bang, found what I wanted. Weather & Squirrel resistant cornhole bags.

RV Friends of ours introduced us to cornhole.  We love playing the game in campgrounds across the country. We since have introduced lot more RVers to cornhole

I saw it at a few high school graduation parties and played it several times and got hooked. Now my friends and I want to play it every time we get together.

I was attending a picnic at my friends house. He brought out the corn hole game and everyone was able to play. It was a lot of fun.

Learn from a student at school.  I’m in charge of a youth organization and my student made the suggestion of playing cornhole.  We were able to get up enough boards in the community to hold a tournament at the high school and the rest is history!

My husband and I discovered this game with friends while tailgating; now we love to take our boards out to the beach and play corhole with friends

You want me to put this bag in what hole?!

Saturday, August 20th, 2011

Cornhole has become a rather popular game (dare I say sport?) that now dominates tailgates worldwide. I was first introduced to this while I was a student at Penn State. If you have ever been to a Penn State football game, then you know how exciting the tailgating is. My first exposure all started when I was working in a psychology lab, and a graduate student invited me to her tailgate for the upcoming football game. Her exact words were, “We literately have the biggest tailgate in State College.” I was a little skeptical at first, because almost everyone claims to have the “biggest tailgate” however I decided to go and I was blown away.

On arriving at the tailgate, I was greeted by 4 huge tents, a grill the size of a small car, a 42″ LCD TV with ESPN playing, over 6 tables of food and drinks, and some of the friendliest faces you could hope to see at a tailgate. They welcomed me in and I proceeded to chow down on almost everything I could see. A small sampling of the food would produce deviled eggs, homemade pizzas, hot dogs, hamburgers, pierogis, salads, cookies and cake. In addition to the delicious food they had 3 special blends of “adult drinks” that I sampled (rather repeatedly).

Shortly after gorging myself I wandered to the outside of the tents and saw people throwing bean bags at each other, or at least I thought it was at each other, until I noticed the boxes below them. I had never played this game and I asked them what they called it. When I heard the name “cornhole”, I began to laugh (the “adult drinks”" began to take their toll”) and I asked them, “You want me to stick this bean bag where?!” After a few chuckles they showed me how to play and I was instantly hooked. For the next 3 hours leading up to the game I competed head to head with anyone that would play me. I even challenged people from other tailgates and had a decent amount of success. However, in my mind, I was the king of the cornhole that day.

Fast forward a few years and I am no longer king of the cornhole, but I still enjoy a game when I have extra time to visit a tailgate before a sporting event. I’m glad I visited “The largest tailgate at Penn State” and I won’t soon forget how I first encountered cornhole.

The Devil From Blue Hell

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

It all started about a year ago. I didn’t expect it to be so much of a fight just to get this vacuum cleaner. I should’ve remembered one important fact: It was the first of the month. Everyone gets food checks when the first of the month comes around. That’s why Wal-Mart was so crowded that day.

Thus, earning it the title ‘Blue Hell’. I was with my grandmother to go and get a new vacuum cleaner. The Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner was on sale, so we got it thinking ‘Hey, that was easy!’. Until we got to the line. I wanted to leave the vacuum cleaner behind, but bless my grandma’s heart, she would not let go of that deal. So we get home, after God knows how long with our new vacuum cleaner. The model was called Breeze Lightweight Bagged Upright. Strange name, I know. Yet, this is what we waited in line oh so long for.

However, the deal was good. Online it was $50.00. But since it was no sale at Wal-Mart, it was just $30.00. I think that was pretty decent.  I like how light it is, now I understand the name of it. It’s not a small vacuum but it feels incredibly light. What I dislike about it is the noise it makes. But it picks up very good, can’t really complain. I also like that it’s easy to maneuver to get those awkward corners. I’ve stuck with this vacuum and been whipping it out to clean rooms for a little over a year now. Would I recommend this to someone else without even reading the vacuum cleaner reviews? I believe I would. I’d just warn them not to go and get it from Wal-Mart on the first of the month.

Make Money Online

Do you feel guilty for spending money on fun stuff, like DVD’s or books at Amazon.com, when you know you should be saving that cash for food, rent, and other necessities? Sign up for Swagbucks.

If you sign up with this company you can randomly earn points on searches when you use their search tool. You can also earn points by completing daily polls, surveys, playing Swagbucks games, watching Swagbucks TV, completing tasks, watching videos (usually advertisements) and in other ways. And when you get enough points, you can turn them in for prizes, including Amazon.com gift cards.

Swabucks is a way to earn extra “”fun money,”" the kind of money you feel guilty taking out of your paycheck but with Swagbucks you get for free. And Friday’s are Mega Swabucks days when you have the chance to earn even more points in your searches. Really, Swagbucks is a great way to get some side income and buy that cool stuff you want even if you also know you don’t really need it.

And if you choose to trade in your Swagbucks for Amazon.com gift cards, the process is really simple: They give you a code which you copy and then paste into a box at Amazon after logging into your account and then clicking on “”apply gift card.”" This is just one way to gain money without having to work particularly hard at it. Find out more at swagbucks.com.

Of course, getting extra money is good but saving money is also nice. To save money, don’t always buy the big brand names you see advertised in commercials. Instead take the time to try some of the more generic (and cheaper) brands. You might be pleasantly surprised to find that the generic products meet your needs well, and cost a whole lot less than the name brands. Your bank account, of course, will thank you.

Eradicate Wasps with a little Planning

Sunday, August 7th, 2011

Come springs and you have wasps, you hate them or love to hate, but certainly can’t avoid them getting as this season comes. However, can plan things at the outset to get rid of them and make sure you get wasps free home.  Getting away from these wasps is a must to ensure a safe and healthy living. They can simply create inconvenience as well as skin problems to your kids and anyone in your family.

A simple way to eradicate them is to destroy their nests, and then the wasps can be killed using sprays, while in rare occasions, you can see wasps found in ground as well. Wasps are found in trees near your home, so first of all you need find these places where their nests are then destroy them. The best time to eliminate them is the nights, since we find wasps as inactive during at nights and they generally stay in their nests, to destroying them along with their nests is a easy task to make.

While cleaning them up make sure you use proper lights since they are sensitive to artificial light, so minimize your flood light when you do this job. Also, make sure you protect yourself properly while doing this job since there are chances of backfire and attacks by them. The equipment for cleaning includes the wasp spray which could be launched 20 feet away from wasp nests for protection. Never stand below their nest since they would fall on you from the hole.

Wasps eradication with wasp traps can be done without seeking professional help provided you properly plan things, however, if you are not very sure about this, always get professionals, as getting injury is better than spending some money.

Earn More and Save More

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

Saving money and finding ways of earning extra are two of the most common needs of human. As people are never satisfied with their income levels, they always look for other ways to make extra money. And finding ways of saving money comes as the second option. Although it is believed that finding easy ways for satisfying those two needs are quite hard, it is actually easy. All you need to do is to think carefully before making any decision.Lets us first talk about earning extra to fulfill one’s increased needs and wants. Apart from doing regular activities which is the primary source of your income, you can do various activities which require less time and energy yet earn you extra money you were looking for. The easiest ways is to do some online job.

It hardly takes a lot of time and can fetch a moderate amount of money. It also has no fixed time, so you can do it at your leisure time in the comfort of your home. Secondly, if you have more spare time, you can do any part time job at your local bar, restaurant and departmental stores. Or, you can open your own consultancy right at your home if you are qualified in the relevant field. And last but not least, you can always engage yourself in the field of online trading in share and bond market through which you can make a fortune.

If you try to find ways about saving money, first you have to consider your household monthly expenditure and make a budget based on that. Try to cut the expenditure on having frequent dinner outside and going for a movie which will result to saving a lump-some amount at the end of the month. This money can be used to pay the college bill of your kid and buy essential things for your newborn baby. Also try to switch off electrical equipments when not in use which will serve the purpose. Try using public transportation system as much as you can to save fuel expenditure.

Save on Kids’ Sporting Expenses

Monday, August 1st, 2011

Like many parents, my husband and I have encouraged our three boys to participate in sports. All three have been very involved in ice hockey and baseball. Two have now graduated from high school, but the youngest still has a couple of years left.

About three years ago, after many stomach wrenching episodes when one or another son would have a sports participation fee or break a stick or need new skates, and I would be looking at a bank balance that wasn’t–balanced, that is–I decided to actually add up all the fees, equipment expenses, ticket prices to see their games, hotel bills for out of town tournaments, and so on. What a revelation! My sense that I was spending more than $200 a week on these things was not far off.

In fact, when I added in the orchestra trips and our summer vacation, I realized our family was spending almost $10,000 a year for these things.Add to this the fact that I am an educator, and do not receive a paycheck for 2 and a half months in the summer. No wonder I always felt so pressed for cash.Yet, we always covered the costs–we just worried and fussed about it. I always felt out of control. But, now I knew how much we needed to set aside while I was working.

So, I figured over the 20 pay periods of two weeks each that I did get paid, we needed to set aside this $10,000. What I did was have $50 transferred from my checking to a dedicated savings account every Monday through Friday during the 40 weeks out of the year that I was receiving a regular paycheck. I then further transferred amounts to a vacation account to cover that out of this dedicated savings. Now I know this is a lot of cash per day, but once we realized we needed to set this amount aside to cover these items for the boys, we learned how to meet our other needs with what was left over. It was such a relief the first time son three needed a new helmet just to have the money in a savings account.

We began to be able to resist the temptation to use credit cards to cover these things, as well.I actually also began to use the same theory to prepay our utility bills for the summer months, so that now, during the summer, my husband’s paycheck gets  us through and the savings or prepayments means there are no surprises.

Cornhole in Ohio

Friday, July 29th, 2011

A couple years ago, I went to visit my cousins who lived in Ohio. When we got there, my cousins excitedly pulled me aside from the big family reunion and said, “You have to try this game our dad showed us. It’s so much fun and very addictive.” I thought they were going to show me a video game or some deviation of Frisbee. Little did I know, I was about to be introduce to “Cornhole.” My cousins showed me how the game works and the rules. As simple as it was, I thought it was a lot of fun. My cousins thought it would be funny if we did a family competition with Cornhole. I was hesitant because I had just started playing and only ever threw the bag directly into the cornhole a couple times, but against my better judgement decided to participate just for the fun of it.

It turns out that my whole family knew how to play Cornhole and I had just not heard of it yet. So here I was, a total beginner, while my entire family apparently had experience and were very excited to play. It turns out, Cornhole is totally my game. I guess it was the pressure to beat my family, but I won almost every inning against everyone who participated. It was an exciting victory and I will never forget it. If you have never played Cornhole, I highly recommend it.

Sell Your Junk

Sunday, July 17th, 2011

One of the best ways I know to make extra side income is to look around your house at all of your stuff and pick out things you don’t need anymore.  Ebay, Craigslist and having a yard sale are all great ways to get rid of old things and make money.  You’d be surprised at what you can get for old electrical equipment.

Instead of tossing it into the landfill sell it for parts on Ebay.  Those old concert t-shirts?  Collectors items on Ebay.  Even basic kitchen crap that you have sitting in the top cupboards gathering dust from your wedding, like that olive pitter and the punch bowl from Aunt Ethel, pop those into a yard sale and gain more storage space and get a few bucks for a beer.

Once you’ve made an initial sweep through the house for the stuff you know you’ll never need it’s time to make a second sweep for things you haven’t used in a year and get rid of those.

Over time you might find that you really need far fewer things in life than you ever dreamed.  Maybe then it’s time for a smaller house with less maintenance, less overhead and less to clean.  That’s when the real savings start.

Easy Ways to Save Money

Thursday, July 14th, 2011

Everyone wants to save money, and there are actually many easy ways to do that.  The best way I can think of is couponing.  My mom coupons like crazy!  She will buy six newspapers when there are good deals available.  Many people think couponing is crazy, but in all honesty it is crazier not to!  My mom has had receipts where she has saved over ninety percent.  When you get groceries and you saved almost ten times what you spent, it feels amazing!

The products that you get are also very nice products.  Sometimes, name brand products are free. Some people think couponing is difficult, but there are many resources online that provide coupons.  Many stores offer membership rewards and cards to download online coupons to.  Some stores also double coupons.

It is important to learn the specific couponing policies of different stores so that you can plan your shopping accordingly.  Even a specific chain with have variances in different locations.  There are also resources online which will give you very specific information about the current deals at a grocery store, coupons available for that deal, and how much money you would save on that product.

In some communities, there are even couponing clubs. There are many different ways to organize coupons.  My mom puts different categories of coupons into envelopes and has all the envelopes in an organizational crate.  Other people will use folders made for baseball cards or photo albums.  Couponing can be very personalized.  It can be made to fit into your schedule.  You can coupon as much or as little as you want, but if you do research on your local stores and look into coupons online, you will be sure to save a lot of money on your groceries.

Natural Environmentally Friendly Wasp Infestation Remedies

Tuesday, June 28th, 2011

As as an environmentalist, I am a firm believer in maintaining respect for the earth and all its beings. However, in the case of animal infestations it is important to remember that human safety comes first and foremost.
To eradicate a particularly pesky wasp infestation I like to look to my environment for solutions, especially homemade wasp traps. Many plants and bulbs create natural defense mechanisms from animals, which can also be used to the advantage of humans in dealing with animal infestations.

Pyrethrum, otherwise known as chrysanthemums produce a particularly potent oil that dumbfounds and decomposes the central nervous system of wasps. This solution is created by drying out the flower, mashing it into a dust and then mixing it with water. The solution can be then poured into a regular spray bottle and applied directly to the nest and wasps. Within minutes the wasps will drop dead without the pyrethrum mixture harming any household pets, birds, or children.

Once the wasps and the nest have been removed, it is important to seal any holes so as to ensure the wasps cannot enter the house anymore. I generally use foam sealant. Though it is possible to find one that uses natural ingredients, it is important to remember that any chemical must be administered cautiously and should remain far from children during the application process. The sealant should set within minutes and guarantee that the wasp problem be completely eradicated.

From beginning to end the entire wasp removal process should take between one to two hours depending on the size of the nest and quantity of wasps.

How to Save Money on Video Games

Saturday, June 25th, 2011

This article can be summed up in one word – Amazon.

Amazon.com is the only place I buy video games from, for many reasons. Pre-ordering video games on Amazon often gives you a $20 Amazon credit for your next video game purchase. Other stores give you no pre-order bonus or some “special item” that will end up in the trash.

So in theory, if you keep buying and pre-ordering your video games from Amazon, you can automatically knock off $20 from the launch price on all video games. Another good thing about buying games from Amazon is that their games drop in price about 2 weeks after launch.

Looking to buy Portal 2 at Gamestop? It will cost you $60. Looking to buy it on Amazon? It is currently only $30 with free shipping, and best of all, no sales tax (depending on which state you live).

Amazon even offers special money saving bonuses on game consoles. Amazon allows you to trade in your old consoles for an Amazon credit that can be applied to the newest and latest console. On top of that, new consoles often come with Amazon credits themselves, which can be applied to buying a game for that console.

A perfect example of this is when I bought a Nintendo 3DS on Amazon. First, I did not have to pay the $20 in sales tax. Second, I got a $25 Amazon credit for buying the 3DS, and a $10 for buying a game. So my next 3DS game only cost $5! You cannot beat that. And did I mention, free shipping?

Great ways to save money while shopping

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

There are quite a few areas like groceries and clothing where I have been able to save some dollars by doing some simple or basic things. The first thing that I would like to share here is that when someone is going on a grocery shopping to a mega retail store, it will be ideal for the person to go with filled stomach instead of an empty stomach. When a person with an empty stomach goes to these stores, he/she sees all those beautifully packed food stuff and they might be tempted to buy those when they are feeling hungry. It’s something related with psychology, but it worked fine for me.

The other thing that I found out while going on a grocery shopping is by going alone I was able to evaluate whether this item is really needed for this week and based on that I was able to avoid quite a few specialty breads and muffins. If I had taken my two kids with me, then they would have loaded the cart with all those specialty muffins and cakes. But then  I used to take my kids to the super store once in a month, preferably after my pay day.

I always try to carry a smaller basket that is kept in the side of the stores instead of the bigger carts that is kept at the entrance of the stores. This is again a psychological thing. When I see the basket full to the brim I go straight to the billing section, without looking sideways at the various attractive offers. If I had taken that big driving cart, I would have been definitely tempted by those offers and filled up the cart. These are some of the tactics that I had adopted in the recent past and I just wanted to share it here.

An Unbelievable but True Story of How I Discovered the Game of Corn hole

Sunday, June 19th, 2011

I had never heard of the game Corn hole before when I was 25, other than it  being an action you take upon someone who your whoopin on in a fight. And the sad part is that I live in redneck country an “”I ARE ONE”" myself. It would also figure it would be at a bar that I find it. Not just any bar but one that was in the middle of a city in our little county.

One night, after work,I went to a bar that my friend worked at. I sat down got a beer and shot and turned around to see a large group of people around an arcade machine. My friend emerged from the back of the group and walked up to me and said hi, then headed back to the kitchen to close it down. when he was done I was already three sheets in the wind and asked him whats with the crowd. He replied its a new game they had gotten a few days before while he was on vacation. we did not get to play it that night, there was just to many people playing it.

The next weekend was summer festival,so the bar was empty. My friend and I got to play the game and it was pretty fun to play. I still did not catch the name of the game till a few days after that. When i went to my mothers house is where I found out the name of the game. According to her I played the game at family gatherings when i was a kid,but i don’t remember that. So that night I called my friend up and asked if he wanted to go to the bar and play the machine he said sure. I went and picked him up and when we got to the bar the machine was gone. Instead a real corn hole game was set up in the middle of the bar, with corn hole bags and all! And I have to say after that night playing the real thing is much better than any machine simulate.

MONEYWISE!

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

BUDGET:

Create a written budget showing all income and all expenses …  even the insignificant expenses as these add up over time to become significant at some point.  From there you can begin to determine exactly where you have options to maximize on the money you have to spend.

Spending your money wisely will give you the confidence to make wiser choices that will further improve your financial situation.  You will have more control over all aspects of your life as you gain control over your available income.
FOOD:

1.  Make a list prior to shopping based on your local grocer’s weekly sale ads .. purchase the items that the stores advertise at or below their cost just to get you into the store.  You can purchase meats, fruits, vegetables in larger quantities then divide and freeze for later use.  (Tremendous savings)

2.  Create weekly menus, if possible, based on what you purchased and cook ahead on a weekend afternoon, then freeze for use the next week.  This prevents drive thru’s on an afternoon when you are running late, exhausted, and cannot imagine cooking.  Just thaw/heat your frozen dish and add a salad or side dish of choice.

3. Purchase in-season local produce and creatively change your recipes to include these.  Local produce will be fresher, provide more nutrition, and not be affected by transport charges from across state, country, or hemisphere.

4. If not already using lentils or beans add these to your menus.  Their nutritional value is unbelievably high and the cost is very low.  Beans can be a substitution for meats in many recipes at a much lower cost.

5. You can always try growing food on any scale as in from a small flower pot to an outdoor garden.

CLOTHING:

1.  Buy more classic basic items and accessorize with the trendy ones.

2.  Recycle your gently used clothing in a garage sale, consignment shop, or by donating to a charity such as Goodwill and take the charitable donation off your taxes next season.

3.  Shop consignment and Goodwill for great finds at an extremely low cost.

4.  If you are crafty start sewing!

TELEPHONE/INTERNET:

1.  All areas of the country are not accessible to same phone/internet plans.  Shop among those companies to which you have access. In my rural area I do have access to high speed DSL (thankfully) from ATT.  I still keep my landline for local calls only with a total bill of $45.00 per month for both DSL and landline (quite inexpensive) and I added a wireless router (purchased from Netgear for $40) to my PC which enables wireless access up to 300 foot away.

2.  There is cable internet (Charter, Comcast, etc.), satellite internet, among others–just look at those options that are available in your area and compare the cost based on your needs.

3.  If you want to just do away with your landline you can use one of the VOIP (internet based) phone services which operates through your computer and is enabled when the computer is ON.  These can have voicemail to ensure no missed calls.

4.  OR you can simply use your cellphone for all your calling needs.  With the new month-to-month plans offered by Boost, Walmart, etc. you can have unlimited access to phone, email, web once you purchase a phone their plan uses and activate the service on a month-to-month basis with no contracts for $40 to $60 per month.

The bottom line is spend more time planning and shopping around and less time buying.  Develop a written plan (begin with a basic one) that is an organic, living document that will change based on your ever increasing knowledge of spending money wisely and your changing needs as your life unfolds and enjoy your life more!

Survival and sustainability – of your survival

Monday, June 13th, 2011

Sustainable survival means the ability to survive long term in one place.  Sustainable survival requires the ability to survive without relying upon stocked up supplies.

Advantages of sustainable survival

1. If you have a sustainable survival strategy, you don’t need five years worth of food stocked up.

2. A sustainable survival strategy is often portable – take your skills and your tools and move somewhere else that can provide the same living.

3. You can quickly find a survival blog are full of advice of how to live off the land. And if you are on the move or left migratory, sustainable survival is the only long term solution since you can’t take years of stored food with you.

4. If your means of survival is sustainable, you don’t need to worry about peak oil. For more information, refer to any peak oil forum.

Disadvantages of sustainable survival

1. If the resources you expected to use for long term survival are cut off, you may not have any other options.

2. If sustainable resources are depleted, you may not have any option except to scavenge.

3. Sustainable survival by a suburban survivalist may leave them short of necessary skills. The ability to garden and scavenge well may not include the wilderness survival skills needed for long term independence.

4. If you want sustainable survival and are trained for the wilderness, you may be unprepared to handle life in the suburbs or anywhere densely developed “urb”.

How to develop sustainable survival in urban areas:

1. Live somewhere with access to garden plots or a greenhouse.

2. Develop renewable energy sources that can sustain you and your household. Done right, and you can also produce enough energy to power a greenhouse if necessary.

3. Cultivate local animal food sources. Raise earth worms in compost piles and use those to feed chickens for eggs and meat. Raise goats that eat the excess and waste biomass from your garden. Fish farming may also be an option.

4. If you live near water, introduce fish now or gain access to fishing spots. Searching for shellfish is also an option for those with tidal coastal access.

5. Suburban survival is an option to blend the best of both worlds. Survival acres seems like the name of a rural farm in the middle of nowhere. Yet you can feed a family on less than an acre with proper cultivation. You can keep your home, access to infrastructure and others of liked mind, and still have land for a garden.

6. A quality suburban survival blog is especially good for those who already have a small plot of land, whether in the city or in the country.  The ultimate suburban survival guide will also include how to garden for small plots of land for a maximum of calories and nutrition.  A suburban survival guide can also include tips for both semi-rural and mostly urban areas on scavenging and reusing materials. Read suburban survival blogs for how to prepare your current home for future disasters or long term societal degradation.

7. Suburban survival pictures are rising from bloggers in Argentina after its economic collapse, Japan after its massive earthquake, and from around the world. This provides both motivation for those who see them to prepare and ideas for those who are prepared what else they may need to do.

8. Need something you don’t have? You can find someone to borrow it from, buy it from, or barter with to get it.

The Jam Trap

Friday, June 10th, 2011

I happened to jump into a wasps’ nest when I was a kid and had a pretty bad reaction. Whether it was from the amount of stings I received or from an undetected allergy, is uncertain but from that point on my parents were fanatical about trying to keep wasps out of our garden for the rest of my childhood.

The made short work of the wasps’ nest that I had jumped in but having it professionally dealt with but we always seemed to have wasps around. It was really noticeable when we ate outside, as we often did in the summer. Wasps are fantastically adept at finding sweet things and it is this that proved to be their undoing in our neck of the woods.

Talking to a local farmer, my father found out about how to make wasp traps. It is incredibly simple to make, uses things you have lying around the house and most of all is amazingly effective. It may not be approved of by Buddhists and wasp lovers but if it stops a little boy swelling up from an allergic reaction, hopefully there will be some understanding, even if no forgiveness.

A teaspoonful of jam dissolved in water is the bait (although any sugary substance will do). Our local wasps had a particular taste for strawberry jam we discovered. This is placed in the bottom of a jam jar and the top is then covered by aluminum foil, which is held on by an elastic band. Small wasp-sized holes are poked in the foil and, voila, one wasp trap. Several of these were spread around our garden through every summer. The wasp picks up the jam, crawls through one of the holes to get at it and can not then fly out. Death by jam for Mr. Wasp. There are worse ways to go I guess. The jar can get quite gruesome after a week or so as the wasps pour in, so frequent changes might not be a bad thing. I was never stung again so judge this to be pretty effective.

Enjoy Life and Get Paid

Tuesday, June 7th, 2011

This article deals with how can you make easy money. The best way is to be yourself and discover yourself. There are lots of ways like internet sites, part time jobs and lots would be in your mind.but what is the point if you do not enjoy !

As a very simple example I am an electronics engineer and I work in an international Technical support. Its gives me money, lots of time because I do night shift,  and moreover I enjoy because it’s technical and I enjoy mixing up with people . I am also a tattoo artist and it’s really curious. I enjoy and I get paid. This is the moral of the story.

Now time to get back to you guys. My first suggestion to you . Do not run for big money If you want to enjoy life because its better if you get paid for what you like to do.  If you are a fitness lover than be a yoga or gym trainer . If you are in search of heavy money than join some companies who sell products and work on making chains of members but the point is join it at the right time and then do hard work.

Saving money is crucial. Save money by small things. Like take care of things that you own so they work longer and you have your money saved in the pocket. Do not waste things. Save big money by using bicycle instead of using car if your work station is nearby.buy clothes from some other place and if you are a brand conscious person then buy clothes in Off season. It will give you around 50-70% of discount. Saving money also depends on your life style.Save money by small things like using less electricity, free internet services, buy things you need in off season.

Saving money is all about living like a college student — and I would know — I am one!

Saturday, June 4th, 2011

It seems like most college undergrads are broke.  But it isn’t because of tuition bills.  Many of my fellow students whose tuitions are already paid for end up just as broke as I am.  The reason is simple:  College teaches you everything you need to know about your future career, but it teaches you absolutely nothing you need to know about how to save money, cut your spending, and tune out the nearly constant barrage of advertisements on campus.

Saving money is for the weak.  You shouldn’t save money, you should hoard it.  Like those people on TV whose houses are so chock full of useless junk that they end up walking through isles of boxes.  That’s how you should treat money.  Rather than seeing the stuff that money can buy, focus on the physical thing that money is.  Look at dollar bills like you look at that ever-present stack of papers on your desk.  It is just paper after all.  It doesn’t own you.

Once you’ve worked up a sufficiently desperate money hoarding fever, it is time to start looking at what you really need.  For most college students, actual needs are minimal.  To survive college you only need a place to crash and food – literally nothing else.  Every other “need” is really just a want.  Someday after college you will start that awesome new career.  You will drive an Audi R8 and sip mojitos on your yacht.  But before you can do that you have to graduate.  Everything else is secondary.

From Appalled to Enthralled: The story of Cornhole and I

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

While driving home one day after school, my eyes drifting over the mundane, unchanging sights of my well-recognized path, something jumped out at me: a sign reading, “We sell Cornhole!” Well after passing this sign, I contemplated, incredulously, what “cornhole” was; slightly amused by the seemingly inappropriate name. As my drive home progressed, it was pushed out of my mind by other, most likely, boring thoughts and recollections of the day, and I soon forgot all about cornhole.

Little time passed before I began hearing “cornhole” being used in conversations and descriptions of weekends past. With those stories, grew my interest, and soon I came to learn that cornhole was a game; a bean bag toss, of sorts, as I thought of it. My confusion about the name of the game was extinguished upon finding out that the bags were filled with corn; bags which were thrown at a board with a hole. Many locals started selling them from their homes. The boards are easy to make and it has become a fad to customize those boards with things such as sports teams’ logos or simple monograms honoring a family name.

Soon after learning what cornhole actually was, I finally played my first game at a family camping trip. To be honest, my lack of cornhole skills is embarrassing; but I still am able to enjoy the game, and it is a nice, relaxed activity that gives the whole family enjoyment; whether they are playing or just sitting in the shade, watching.Although I was wary of the game of cornhole, at first, it has definitely grown on me, and has provided me with hours of enjoyment with friends and family members (and even strangers!), alike.

Cornhole Rules

Friday, April 29th, 2011

The game of Cornhole is a relatively easy game to play and follow. However there are some important cornhole rules to follow. WeӬl discuss some of these rules in greater detail.

These rules were developed and ratified by the American Cornhole Organization which is one of the largest and well regarded governing bodies related to the sport of cornhole. Cornhole is typically played with two slanted cornhole boards. Each board measures 2Ҡwide by 4Ҡlong by 12 inches high at the rear end. There is a six inch diameter hole drilled at the rear end of the board. The boards are normally constructed from high quality 5/8ԍ thick Baltic birchwood plywood which is coated with several coats of UV finish. This provides for a more consistent surface for tournament play. The boards for recreational play typically vary more in construction and finish but are generally sized the same. Cotton cornhole bags which measure 6Ԡx 6Ԡand which weigh approximately 16 ounces are thrown towards the board with the goal of getting the bag to slide or drop into the hole. Points are also scored if the bag is able to remain on the board at the end of a round. In sanctioned tournament play, the boards should be placed 27 feet apart as measured from the front of one board to another. Amateur or casual games allow for the distance to be 24 feet and Junior play is set at 20 feet. Games are organized into singles of doubles play. For singles format, each player competes against another player. They both pitch from the same board. And in doubles play, two players compete against another two man team. In this format, one member from each team pitches from the same board. For doubles play, each playerӳ partner is positioned directly across from him/her. This means that each player in the team pitches the bag from a different pitcherӳ box. This box is designated ahead of time and the players must not step out of the box when pitching. Each match is broken down into frames. During each frame, each player must pitch four bags. In the case of doubles play, the two players from each team pitch a total of eight bags. However each player still tosses four bags and then allows his opponent to pitch four bags. That original player then tosses his remaining four bags as does his opponent to finish up the frame. The opposite pairing of two opponents calls out the score before removing the bags from the board. It is important to remember that cornhole players must toss the bag within 15 seconds of stepping into the pitcherӳ box. The game is won when a player or team achieves 21 or more net points. A score of three points is made for tossing or sliding the bag into the hole and one point is awarded for keeping the bag on the board by the end of the inning. If you want to review these rules in full detail, you should check out the ACO website.
